Pros & Cons
Pros & Cons
- Thanks to technology from Scope's Artech series, the rim shape has been optimised, resulting in a more aerodynamic wheel.
- Despite the 65 mm rim height, the wheelset weighs only 1497 grams.
- With a 25 mm inner rim width, the wheels can accommodate road tyres as well as narrower gravel tyres.
- Improved seals ensure improved bearing life inside the hubs.
- Scope wheels are developed in the Netherlands in collaboration with Schwalbe, SKF and the Tech Universities at Eindhoven and Delft; so their high quality is guaranteed.
- The wheelset does not come with wheel bags or disc brake rotors.
- These wheels are more sensitive to crosswinds than models with lower rims.

The Scope R6.A Disc wheelset features durable SKF bearings with good sealing and low rolling resistance. The sealing of the hubs has been greatly improved, resulting in longer bearing life. Thanks to pre-applied tubeless rim tape, making the tyres tubeless is easy. The fact that there is no weight limit for these wheels underlines their strength and reliability.
Partner of INEOS Grenadiers pro team
Since 2026, Scope has been an official partner of INEOS Grenadiers, a leading team in the UCI World Tour. The team will compete in all disciplines on Scope wheels. Following extensive testing, INEOS concluded that Scope delivers the best performance set-up, combined with an unwavering commitment to innovation and continuous product development. This partnership enables Scope to test its carbon wheel technology at the very highest level of professional cycling, working closely with some of the world’s best riders to further develop and refine its products.
3 Years warranty
Quality is Scope's number one priority. By registering the wheelset on the Scope website within 30 days of purchase, you will activate the 3-year warranty. In the registering process you will have to enter the serial number, which can be found on the supplied registration card, the wheel box or on the flange of the rear hub.
Lifetime Crash Replacement programme
Despite its high quality, a Scope wheelset may get damaged in a severe crash. Scope offers, in addition to the 3-year warranty, a crash replacement programme to give you the chance to replace one or two wheels after a crash at a reduced rate.
The rim shape of Scope wheels has been developed using AEA technology (Algorithm Enhanced Aerodynamics), with the algorithm calculating the most aerodynamic rim profile to ensure optimal performance.
Hub system
Scope's hub system has been re-engineered. Proven characteristics such as the wide flange spacing (for high lateral stiffness), custom-made oversized SKF bearings (6803/6903) and the tool-free adapter system have been retained and refined where possible. Besides the SKF bearings, CeramicSpeed bearings remain available as an upgrade for the Race series.
Diamond Ratchet SL system
The Diamond Ratchet freehub system is a newly developed engagement system which ensures that all power output is transferred to the wheel even faster. The standard 36T ratchet ring can optionally be replaced with a 48T ring, making your freehub engage even faster when accelerating. The system is compatible with all Shimano, Shimano Micro Spline, SRAM XDR, Campagnolo and Campagnolo N3W groupsets.
Tubeless system
The geometry of the Scope Tubeless System makes for easy mounting, direct inflation, long-lasting pressure and compatibility with all (tubeless) tyres.
Local Reinforcement technology
To reduce the wheel's weight significantly while maintaining its strength and stiffness, Scope uses Local Reinforcement carbon technology to increase the number of carbon layers around the spoke holes on the inside of the rim.

Absolute stiffness for heavier riders and aerodynamic masterpiece!
As a taller cyclist (1m96 and 103 kg), finding a wheelset that is aerodynamic ánd can handle my weight without any problems is quite a challenge. The Scope R6.A does not disappoint on any level. What an insanely stiff wheelset! In fierce accelerating or hard cornering, these wheels really don't budge. Not a millimetre of lateral flex or harsh braking, the power is instantly converted into speed. The 25mm internal rim width is an absolute gamechanger. I fitted them with 28mm Continental GP5000 outer tyres and a TPU inner tube. Due to the wide rim, these tyres come out as exactly 31mm in practice. As a result, I ride with a larger air volume at a lower tyre pressure (approx. 5.5 - 6 bar). The result is a bizarrely comfortable ride where vibrations from the asphalt completely disappear, without compromising on rolling resistance. On the flat, you really notice what these 65mm deep rims do. Once up to speed, they maintain their speed fantastically. You immediately get a generous helping of 'free' speed. Yes, with this height you catch the occasional gust from the side, but the wheel reacts very gradually and predictably. Mounting the tyres also went very smoothly on the hooked rim bed. For anyone looking for a purebred aero upgrade that also feels indestructible: look no further.
